Sketchy on TV
Sketchy is a drawing game for Android TV and Google TV. One phone draws a secret word, the drawing appears on the television line by line, and the room shouts guesses at it. The longer it takes, the more letters the television gives away. For 3 or more players, with just one phone.

- 1 phone + wifi
- 3 drawings free
How a drawing goes
- One phone gets a word and draws it, sideways
- It appears on the television, line by line
- The room shouts until somebody gets it
Somebody scans the QR code on the television and presses I'll draw. Their phone shows a word that nobody else can see, say LIGHTHOUSE, and they turn the phone on its side and draw it. No letters, no numbers, no talking.
The television shows a dash for every letter. If the room is stuck it starts giving letters away, a few at a time and never the whole word. That is the only clock, and nobody sees it counting.
When somebody gets it, the artist taps They got it, or someone presses Reveal on the remote, and a GOT IT sticker lands on the drawing. Then whoever wants to draw next does: pass the phone round, or scan the code on another phone and take the pen.
There are no teams, no score and no names. The only thing the evening keeps is the drawings, pinned up on the television with their words under them until you leave the game.

One phone
Only the one drawing needs a phone; everybody else looks at the television. The pen opens in the phone's browser from the QR code, with nothing to install and no account. The television and the phone both need an internet connection, and they do not have to share a network.
The words
Words you can draw in a few lines, and a room can shout back in a few seconds. A television set to Worldwide deals 454 words. One set to India deals 551 words, which adds words an Indian room knows better.
Free to try
The first 3 drawings are free to try, with no card and no account. After that, a monthly, yearly or once-for-life plan unlocks the rest, and every other game on the shelf with it.
Questions
How many people do you need to play Sketchy?
3 or more players: the artist, and enough people to shout at the television. Two is a conversation, not a room.
Does everyone need a phone?
No, just one. The phone with the pen is the only one that needs to be out. Everyone else looks at the television.
Is there a timer or a score?
No score, no teams and no timer on the screen. The only clock is the one that gives letters away.
Can we take turns drawing?
Yes. Pass the phone round, or scan the code on another phone and take the pen.
Put it on the television
Sketchy is one of eighteen games in Read the Room, on Google Play for Android TV and Google TV.
